Chloe is a super-sweet gal who came to NLOL through one of our boarding facilities. The facility owner was contacted about Chloe because her family had been fractured by a passing and foreclosure, and she agreed to take her in along with her kitty brother Frank. Fortunately Frank found his permanent home with the facility owner, and we stepped in to help find Chloe a real forever home!
People have told us how lucky Chloe is that we took her in. We firmly believe it's the other way around - Chloe is a perfectly well-behaved dog with almost no bad habits! Her foster parents report that she is 100% housetrained and does not need to be crated at all. She gets along great with their dog and other friendly dogs (see play video here!), and would be fine for a home with a cat and/or kids. Chloe is a quiet little angel in the house and even sleeps peacefully on a dog bed at night - she doesn't even try to get into the people bed. She is even pretty well leash-trained! What a good girl!
Although Chloe is 9 years old, you'd never know it. According to our vet, she has none of the typical joint/hip problems that plague older shepherds, and we have been keeping her joints lubricated with a daily glucosamine tablet. She runs and plays like a much younger dog and is well-suited to life with a younger dog sibling. She hardly even has any grey hair!
